3D virtual tours are accurate to within a millimetre, giving potential buyers a true representation of a property

New research shows Australians are increasingly turning toward digital platforms to inspect interstate and international properties.According to the virtual inspection platforms and their research, close to a million Australians used the service to tour interstate properties, out of a total of over three million tours hosted on the platform.  Digital tours are most prevalent in Queensland where 33 per cent of inspections originate from interstate, with this figure increasing to almost half of the inspections on the Gold Coast.

The first impression of a home often comes from its online listing, and this initial online curb appeal can mean the difference between capturing or losing a prospective buyer’s attention. While home listings almost always include photos, 78% of buyers worry they are Photoshopped or misrepresent the space.

In fact, the buyers we polled in September were so confident in 3D tours that 71% said they would purchase a property sight-unseen, a 16% increase since we last asked this question in JanuaryFurthermore, 82% of buyers agreed that 3D tours provide a more accurate representation of a home than photos alone. Baby Boomers showed the greatest confidence, with 91% of them indicating they feel this way.

The following outlines some of the reasons why Virtual Tours are so important.

5 Key Benefits of a Virtual Tour:

  1. Increased Convenience:

Virtual tours save buyers time and effort as they can view properties from the comfort of their own home. No more driving around to open houses or scheduling appointments to view properties.

  1. Improved Accessibility:

Virtual tours provide a convenient and accessible way for buyers to view properties, even if they are out of town or have mobility limitations.

  1. Better Decision Making:

Virtual tours allow buyers to get a better sense of the layout, space, and overall feel of a property, helping them to make more informed decisions.

  1. Increased Exposure:

Virtual tours increase a property's exposure as they can be easily shared on social media and real estate websites, reaching a wider audience.

  1. Competitive Advantage:

Listing with an agent who uses virtual tours sets your property apart from others and gives it a competitive edge in a crowded real estate market.

Why Homeowners Should Only List with Agents Who Use Virtual Tours:

Using virtual tours in property marketing is a sign of a forward-thinking and tech-savvy real estate agent. A good agent will understand the importance of providing buyers with the most information possible and will want to showcase the property to its full potential. Homeowners who list with agents who use virtual tours can be confident that their property is being marketed effectively and professionally.

Virtual tours provide a number of benefits for both buyers and sellers in the real estate market. By listing their property with an agent who uses virtual tours, homeowners can increase their property's exposure, improve decision-making for buyers, and have the peace of mind knowing their property is being marketed effectively. When it comes to selling a property, having a virtual tour is a must-have in today's fast-paced and technology-driven world.
